Angeline Sperling

Angeline is a founding partner of Sperling & Moore, P.C.  where the practice includes all aspects of adoption, bankruptcy, and family law; probate and estate law including estate planning, management and distribution, and litigation.  Legal matters affecting older and disabled person including health care, long term care planning, conservatorship, guardianship, retirement, and Medicare/Medicaid.  

Angeline is licensed to practice law in the State of Alabama in both state and federal courts; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Angeline is a member of Alabama State Bar Association, American Inns of Court, Shores – Vance American Inn of Court Chapter, Birmingham Bar Association, Magic City Bar Association, and the National Bar Association.  

Angeline is active with numerous other professional and community organizations, including serving as a Commissioner on the Alabama Sentencing Commission, President of the Bessemer Bar Association’s Juvenile Court Section, Pro Bono lawyer for the Birmingham Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Program, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Saturday Solutions.  She serves as the 2020-2021 President-Elect of the Alabama Lawyers Association.  In addition, she volunteers for numerous speaking engagements covering subjects ranging from conflict resolution to voting rights restoration.  Her passion for helping people, strong work ethics, and expertise have translated into a vibrant and successful law practice.

Angeline’s service as an appointed Special Circuit and District Judge, since 2015 on an as-needed basis; and her background in civil litigation is where she has acquired the knowledge and experience necessary to empathize with the disputing parties and to understand the nature, nuances and value of their cases. She is a certified appellant mediator and has served as a mediator since 2009 using her specialized training in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
